Greetings  and  Merry Christmas

It is a joyful season as we remember the coming and birth of our Lord, Christ Jesus. May God bless you and your family this Christmas with a sense of “peace on earth” and the awesome wonder of “glory to God in the Highest.” This is my prayer as I pray for you through the month of December.

I do want to remind you that we are praying for you here at the International Office this month as every month. Some have a particular day that they pray through the overseers of different areas. Others walk through one area at a time in sequence. But your name is mentioned to heaven often as we pray for this family of ministry all around the world. I give you today one prayer from Hebrews 13:

"Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

I am also writing to invite you and your nation or region to join with the entire church family in a season of seeking God together. I am inviting the Church of God of Prophecy to join me in starting the New Year with 21 days of prayer and fasting. I trust the Holy Spirit will stir over your heart and encourage you to seek the Lord with all of us in this movement.

There are so many things we need that can only be given through Divine supply. The harvest is great and we must have God’s help. The challenges are great and we must have God’s victory. Our strength is limited and we must have God’s power. I love what Jesus said in Luke 18, “Men ought always to pray and not to faint.”

As we dedicate the first 21 days of this New Year to seeking God, we are making a statement of faith. We will not faint. We will not give in to the foe. We will not become discouraged. We will pray! Yes we will pray and acknowledge that “a man can receive nothing except it be given him from heaven.” (John 3:27) We will acknowledge that “it is the Spirit that quickens, the flesh profits nothing.” (John 6:63) We will acknowledge “him that is able to do exceeding, abundantly, above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” (Ephesians 3:20)

You are invited to join with me and to lead your people in a great season of seeking the Lord. Our leaders need God. Our churches need God. Our communities need God. Our nations need God; and this world needs God. So let the people of God be found seeking for His Divine Intervention as we begin this year. I know He will hear our prayers and send great help to our lands, as we pray.

Thank you for all you do to lead the churches of your nation to reap the harvest and build God’s Kingdom. I look forward to the first 21 days of the year knowing that I will be joined by leaders such as you, calling on God together. As we unite in prayer and fasting we have the promise of God’s help and favor for our labors in 2008.

Seeking Him Together,
